THE TRAINERS
Megan grew up as a hunter/jumper rider in Kentucky before moving to the St. Louis area in 2015 and switching her focus to jumpers and dressage. It was after she moved that she learned about the European riding system and became hooked on this approach. Megan also applies her love for psychology into daily training. Understanding that in order to create and maintain a happy and willing equine athlete, we must first work with their instinctual inclinations and thought processes. Megan uses this approach along with dressage to create a strong foundation for riders and horses of both hunter and jumper disciplines.
Megan Harp
Amanda grew up riding in the hunter/jumper rings with a strong dressage emphasis. After some time off, Amanda rode for SLU’s Club Equestrian Team and competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. Now an engineer by day, she uses her time at the barn to teach foundational skills through dressage and equitation and share her love for horses and learning every day. Amanda personally finds her love in the jumper ring with the talented "Prosharose."
Amanda Kohne
Haley graduated from Stephens College in 2015 with a B. S. in Equine Studies before going on to groom for different upper level hunter/jumper barns on the east coast circuit. She then used her education and passion for horse welfare to become a professional and take on the barn manager role when she moved back to Missouri. It was here where Haley made the switch from hunter/jumper to dressage.
Haley’s focus on safety and structure makes her ideal for our beginner riding instructor. We all know a good rider starts with a strong foundation and that is exactly what Haley provides!
